Virginia Private College Counselor Tour
Virginia Private Colleges cordially invites you to participate in the Virginia Private College Counselor Tour. This program has been bringing guidance counselors to campuses since 1998. The tour provides an effective way for counselors to become acquainted with the rich variety and diversity of Virginia colleges.
The 2012 tour will take place October 24 - 27 and includes visits to 9 outstanding private colleges and universities in central Virginia and is sponsored by the Educational Foundation of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV). Colleges on the tour are listed below. Beginning June 1, please contact the Council of Independent Colleges if you are interested in signing up for the 2012 Virginia Private College Guidance Counselor Tour. CICV will post a list of frequently asked questions, the itinerary, and the registration form on this website in May.
The Virginia Private College Counselor Tour is open to school counselors from public, private, and parochial secondary schools and independent counselors. We ask that no more than 2 counselors from a school register for the tour in any given year.

During your stay with us, you will travel to each campus and meet with faculty, administrators, and admission directors for the firsthand, personal contact which previous participants have found so valuable.
Each college visit typically includes:

a tour of the campus and its facilities

opportunities to meet with staff and students

answers to your questions about admissions policies and procedures
The Central Tour will begin and end at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. A $80 registration fee and your travel costs to and from Richmond will be your only expenses. Meals and hotel lodging are provided.
