Know Your Professors

Virginia private colleges attract outstanding faculty. The large majority of our professors hold the highest degree in their fields. They are drawn to liberal arts colleges to focus on teaching and work with students individually.   At our colleges the average class size is 16 students, and the student-to-faculty ratio is 11:1. That means more personal attention in the classroom. Graduates of private colleges frequently say professors serve as ongoing mentors.
